WINE TOURS 2009

You will experience professional and technical wine tasting accompanied by myself. I am an experienced bi-lingual guide with over 30 years experience in the tourist industry both in Edinburgh and abroad. I am also a fully qualified Wine Educator who will tutor you through the whole experience making it simple and enjoyable. These tours are suitable for the professionals in the wine trade and also for enthusiastic individuals who just want to learn more about wine and the country where grapes are grown. You will come back with great enthusiasm, knowledge and a thirst to learn more.

Valentine Weekend Tour

We are arranging a long weekend to the Champagne region of France to celebrate Valentine’s Day in February 2009. All the top houses will be visited along with a couple of excellent but virtually unknown smaller producers.

Upcoming Wine Tour to Somontano Spain

We are scheduling a fantastic tour to Somontano Spain in May 2009. This will run from Friday until Monday inclusive. The tour will take in an area virtually unknown to most visitors to Spain. Located in the mountainous area of Huesca (famous for its skiing) and Somontano is in the foothills of the dramatic Pyranees Mountains. You will have unforgettable scenery and the region is gorgeous with greenfields and hills, wild flowers, medieval hamlets and lonely hilltop monasteries. Most importantly this is an up and coming wine region making cutting edge wines which have only just reached the British market. We will meet in Madrid Atocha Railway Station and take the high speed train to Zaragoza where we will stay for the three nights. A luxury coach will transport us over the next few days to sample gourmet meals, cozy restaurants, tucked away in romantic historic villages.
