The WSET Intermediate Certificate course is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry who have little previous knowledge of wines and spirits.
The course is also suitable for those individuals not employed in the industry but who wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way.
The Intermediate Certificate course covers the wines and spirits of the world and is followed by a one hour multiple choice examination. Wine tasting is a part of every class.

The price of this 2 day course is £350.00 per person including; WSET Tutor, a box of 6 ISO Tasting Glasses, students materials and book and over 40 different samples of wine ranging from popular brands to top Grand Cru's.
Your wine educator, delivers a well structured course in a light hearted and entertaining manner. She is a fully approved educator with the Wine & Spirit Trust and she also specialises in hosting wine tasting events.
Course Objectives
- To display a basic understanding of the influences on the style, quality and price of wines in the country we study.
- Understand basic label terminology of the country we study.
- Name the important grape varieties of the countries we study and describe their character and the style of wines produced.
- Identify key countries and regions for the production of wines and identify the main styles of wine produced.
- Produce basic description of wines using the systematic approach to tasting.
- Understand the importance of alcohol in moderation.
